Amber came to meet with us to discuss and put together Dad’s life memoir. Right from the start Amber was warm, friendly easy to talk to and very patient as we had a lot of stories to recall of such an amazing man, and to get it into a chronological order I would imagine a little challenging, but not for Amber. The impeccable manner and attention to detail to which our tribute was conducted was very professional and lovely to listen to. The service was such a lovely send off for my Dad. I recently attended a funeral for a young friend of my daughters. Amber was the officiant at the service and I was impressed at how professional, articulate and empathetic she was. I thought her words were just wonderful throughout, and clearly resonated with all in the room.
Amber also, while very considerate and compassionate in what she said, did not avoid the ‘elephant in the room’. This is refreshing, and having worked in youth mental health for many years, it is important we have these tough conversations as a community – it was beautifully addressed and a job very well done.
